Jack

Jack Sowers is from a rural section of Columbus, Ohio. At 17, he started playing a bass borrowed from his older brother, Bill, after seeing a film of John Entwistle of the Who on a device called the television.

While attending OU in the mid-'80s, Jack played bass in such bands as The Name and The Rhythm Method. Jack also spent a four-year stint as the bassist/backing vocalist for The Crunch, co-producing and playing on their last CD, CORNER.

As the oldest member of the Cactus Pears, other band members consult him frequently about matters such as Individual Retirement Accounts and the purchase of burial plots.
